Congregation B’nai Torah is conveniently located in the wonderful city of Toronto. Toronto’s Jewish community is vibrant and growing, physically and spiritually. B’nai Torah sits right in the Jewish heart of the city in a centrally located area with easy access to all religious needs.
For over 50 years our Shul has been and is a place to pray and learn and draw close to Hashem. It is a warm environment for celebrating and commemorating life's special occasions. It is a place to call home. We are a diverse, warm and welcoming community comprising interesting and enjoyable people; a place where our members can develop close and life lasting friendships.
It is indeed a privilege for me to serve as rabbi of this energetic and active Shul.
I was born in Toronto Canada, and grew up in Mexico City and Yerushalaim where my father was a pulpit rabbi and educator respectively.
My wife, Miriam, and I have six wonderful young children.
After Graduating from the Telshe Yeshiva of Chicago I learned in the Kollel of Santiago, Chile and the community Kollel in Milwaukee WI. From 1997 to 2003 I served as Rabbi at the Young Israel of Greater Buffalo and moved to Memphis in 2003 to join the Young Israel of Memphis.
Since August 2009, I have had the honour and privilege of serving as the rabbi of Congregation B’nai Torah.
I received Semicha from Rabbi Avrohom Chaim Levin, Telshe Yeshiva - Chicago , Rabbi Shlomo Miller , Rosh Kollel Toronto and Rabbi Itzhak Kolitz ZT”L, Chief Rabbi of Yerushalaim.
